About Us

Meet The Owner

Penny Kittle brings over 40 years of professional experience working with horses. Throughout her career, she has served as a horse trainer, 4-H leader, and equine professional dedicated to helping people build meaningful relationships with horses. Today, Penny is a certified Equine Specialist, supporting Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), Equine Assisted Learning (EAL), and team building programs. Penny partners with mental health professionals, educators, and business leaders, providing horses, activities, and facilitation to help participants experience growth, healing, and insight through equine interaction. Her work is guided by a deep respect for both horses and people, creating safe environments where learning and transformation can occur naturally.

The Role of an Equine Specialist

An Equine Specialist plays a critical role in equine-assisted programs by ensuring both participant safety and horse welfare.

Penny is certified in two equine-assisted curriculums:

• Horse Inspired Growth and Healing (HIGH),

• OK Corral, created by founder of the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association.

The Equine Specialist understands horse behavior, monitors interactions, and helps facilitate meaningful experiences between participants and horses.

Why Horses?

Horses are highly social animals with unique personalities, and their natural behavior makes them powerful partners in learning and personal growth. They help teach us how to evaluate and respond to the world around us while remaining present in the moment.

Horses are naturally responsive to emotional and mental well-being, reacting to human emotions in honest and authentic ways. Their responses to our actions and reactions often encourage us to look more deeply at ourselves, our behavior, and our interactions with others. Because the feedback horses provide is natural and non-judgmental, it allows participants to gain valuable insight into their own behavior in a safe and non-threatening environment.
