Services at KCF Redemptive Equine LLC

At KCF Redemptive Equine, horses help create meaningful opportunities for learning, growth, and healing. Through equine-assisted experiences, participants engage in hands-on activities with horses that encourage reflection, communication, and personal insight.

All programs are ground-based and non-riding, and are designed to support individuals, groups, and organizations in a safe and supportive environment.

EAP or EAL?

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is a collaborative approach that brings together a licensed mental health professional, an equine specialist, and horses to support therapeutic work.

Through structured activities with horses, participants may explore emotions, develop coping strategies, and gain insight into patterns in relationships and behavior.

Because horses naturally respond to human emotions and body language, they provide honest, immediate feedback that can help individuals better understand themselves and their interactions with others.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy may support individuals experiencing:

• Trauma
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Relationship challenges
• Emotional regulation difficulties
• Personal growth goals

All therapy sessions are conducted in partnership with a licensed mental health professional.

Equine Assisted Learning (EAL)

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)

Equine Assisted Learning focuses on personal development and life skills through experiential activities with horses. These sessions are designed for youth, adults, and groups who want to strengthen skills that apply to everyday life.

Participants engage in hands-on exercises that encourage communication, problem solving, leadership, and teamwork.

Because horses respond honestly and without judgment, they provide powerful opportunities for participants to reflect on their behavior and develop new perspectives.

Equine Assisted Learning programs may focus on:

• Leadership development
• Communication skills
• Confidence building
• Problem solving
• Self-awareness
• Relationship building

These programs are educational and developmental rather than clinical therapy.

Team Building

Equine-assisted team building offers a unique way for organizations and groups to strengthen communication, collaboration, and leadership. Through guided activities with horses, teams are challenged to work together, solve problems, and explore how their communication and leadership styles influence outcomes. Horses respond to authenticity, clarity, and teamwork, making them powerful partners in leadership development.

Team-building programs may benefit:

• Businesses and corporate teams
• Nonprofit organizations
• Leadership groups
• Educators and school staff
• Community organizations

These experiences help teams gain insight, improve collaboration, and develop stronger working relationships.

What Makes Equine-Assisted Experiences Unique

Healing and Growth—Inspired by Horses.

Unlike traditional classroom learning or talk-based sessions, equine-assisted programs are experiential. Participants learn by doing—interacting with horses, observing their responses, and reflecting on those experiences.

Because horses are highly sensitive to human behavior and emotion, they provide immediate, honest feedback that encourages awareness and meaningful change.

This hands-on approach often leads to insights that can be difficult to reach through conversation alone.

Expertise Matters.

Penny Kittle is a certified Equine Specialist with more than 40 years of experience.

Through equine-assisted psychotherapy, learning, and team building programs, she creates safe, supportive experiences where horses help people gain insight, build confidence, and grow.
